The successful candidate will be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of apprentices studying the Level 3 Dental Nurse Practitioner Diploma and Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics, have at least 5 years’ experience in the role of a dental nurse and be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
They will hold a relevant assessors award (TAQA/A1) and tutoring (AET) qualification or be working towards them.
The role involves planning and delivering engaging, classroom-based theoretical teaching, alongside assessing learners in practice through workplace observations and performance reviews. Regular travel to dental practices in and around the North West area is required; therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.
We may consider this role as a trainee Tutor/Assessor position. Full support will be provided; however, the cost of the required qualifications will be the responsibility of the candidate.

Essential
Level 3 Dental Nursing qualification (C&G / NEBDN)
Current GDC registration
Proven experience working as a dental nurse
Awareness of current dental practices, techniques, and educational methodologies
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle at all times
Desirable
CAVA and AET qualifications (or equivalent)
Experience teaching, training, or mentoring trainee dental nurses
Experience assessing skills and knowledge in line with City & Guilds standards
Essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deliver complex information clearly and engagingly
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Close attention to detail when assessing learner progress
Ability to identify development needs and recommend improvement strategies
Desirable
Familiarity with e-learning platforms and online assessment tools
Ability to adapt teaching and assessment approaches to suit different learning styles
Experience providing constructive, timely, and supportive feedback
