Location: Manchester & surrounding North West areas (travel required)
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 DOE

The Role

The successful candidate will coach and mentor apprentices studying the Level 3 Dental Nurse Practitioner Diploma and Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years’ experience as a dental nurse and hold current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging classroom-based theoretical teaching
• Assessing learners in practice through workplace observations and reviews
• Supporting learner development, progression, and achievement
• Maintaining accurate assessment documentation in line with the awarding body standards
• Ensuring compliance with internal quality assurance and regulatory requirements

The successful candidate will hold a relevant assessor qualification (TAQA/A1) and a tutoring qualification (AET), or be working towards these qualifications.

Regular travel to dental practices across the North West is required. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Trainee Tutor/Assessor Applications

We may consider appointing to this role on a Trainee Tutor/Assessor basis. Full support will be provided; however, the cost of the required qualifications will be the responsibility of the candidate.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Level 3 Dental Nursing qualification (C&G or NEBDN)
• Current GDC registration
• Minimum five years’ experience working as a dental nurse
• Awareness of current dental practices and educational methodologies
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

• CAVA and AET qualifications (or equivalent)
• Experience teaching, training, or mentoring trainee dental nurses
• Experience assessing skills and knowledge in line with City & Guilds standards

Desirable attributes include:

• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and online assessment tools
• Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit different learners
• Experience providing constructive and supportive feedback
